Ideas welcomed for aggressive tank

My roommate wants to switch from a reef to FOWLR tank. He is debating whether he wants an aggressive tank or not. I am looking for ideas for him. It's a 60 gallon cube with a 20 gallon sump and 20 gallon refugium. He has a euro-reef rs 80 skimmer. Since I'm reef only I don't have a broad knowledge of non reef fish...Thanks in advance.

He's mentioned

A lionfish, dogface puffer, or possibly wrasses. Just doesn't know what direction to go.

size is going to limit his options greatly, most puffers and angels will be significantly too large for the 60g in their adult size. Lion might be ok in that size of a tank, but my personal care with lions is limited. He might want to look into dwarf angels, smaller tangs, dwarf lions, stuff like that.

i would say go with a dwarf lionfish,

a larger drawf angelfish maybe a flameangel fish?

a small- med tang say like kole, yellow, powder blue?

as for wrasses maybe a sixline, yellow

also you might want to try a scribble rabbit fish..........

There aren't too many aggressive fish that could really live out their lives in a 60 cube. Consider that aggressive often implies "active swimmer". A predator tank might be more appropriate, perhaps with the aforementioned dwarf lionfish, hawkfish, small eel perhaps.

Keep the tangs and rabbitfish out of there.

You could do a snowflake (or similar) eel, flame hawk, fuzzy dwarf, and marine beta and have a nice tank. How much live rock is there?

I'll keep that in mind that the tank size limits things somewhat. Maybe a predator tank is more appropriate.

Grouperhead there is a lot of rock in there. He probably has around 80 pounds of rock.
