Identify filefish

So my LFS has a weird looking filefish. It seems in pretty good condition and is active and most important it's eating (mysis, brine shrimp, nutramar ova). I really like it alot but I don't know if I should purchase it since I'm nOt sure what's species it is. I've been looking on the internet and the closest looking filefish seems to be Cantherhines pullus the only difference is that the one at my LFS is completely yellow Instead of black. Could it be a morph?
So what you guys think I should do? Go for it? Or keep away from it since I don't really know what species it is?
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks ^_^

Being that some filefish eat "good" stuff I'd definitely find out exactly what species it is and do some research on it first. Can you get a pic?

I'll try to post it tomorrow evening. Btw I forgot to mention that it's only $12 and a pretty decent size (around 4").

Don't you just love stores that don't even know what they're selling?

Lol... TBH that's the only fish they have not been able to specifically identify in the 4+ years I've bought stuff from them. The staff is actually quiet knowledgeable and sometimes, just for fun, I like to research some and then ask them questions about that stuff and see if they know or if they lie, they've never lied and very few things they didn't know most of them regarding things or fish they don't sell on a regular basis. Also they do not sell fish that are sick or not eating so yeah I like my LFS a lot and I think I'm pretty lucky =]

You are lucky, a good LFS is rare (IMO). They once were THE source for info. Wholesalers also have some unidentified fish that they sell at great prices too.

So my suspicions were correct it is a Cantherhines pullus otherwise known as orangespotted filefish, funny thing because I have a pair of orange spotted filefish (Oxymonacanthus longirostris) and they don't look anything alike lol. .. I know I'm going to sound really irresponsible and all but I decided to purchase it. After being in the QT for like 5 minutes he changed from being yellow to the usual color. I'm guessing it was just stressed at the LFS. Anyways I'll post some pics tomorrow evening.
