I had the lights off in my tank and the room but had the ole flashlight out tonight. I was looking at the substrate and the little burrow tracks under the sand that are up against the glass. Then I saw a black worm, it was really thin, almost like thick thread or I guess about as thick as an average safety pin (the actual pin part). I couldn't get a picture off beofre it disappeared though. It was moving right along, but didn't seem scared of the light. The body was smooth, no legs that I could see just a thin black line, about 2 inches long but it was 100% alive.

got his [profanity].....on camera that is...

so what do you think?

There are a lot of worms that crawl around in the substrate. Without a closeup, I couldn't begin to id it.

I have those. I think they are those spaghetti worms. The have little white stringy things that they put out on the surface of the sand to catch food. Harmless.

Earth is cracking up! SOS !!!! Earthquake :D LOL

Seriously: worm of some sort, sand creatures are very beneficial to health of your mini eco-system. Soon you'll be seing more worm tracks. Looking good!
