Identify Please

Found this in the neighbors tank but I have no clue what it is. Does anyone have any idea???? I cirlced them in red. The one on the left side under the rock is a view of what they look like from the top, atleast what I would consider the top. I'm concerned because they look like they could become an epidemic. Good news is you can only see them if you know they are there.

i believe they are pinaple sponges... Don't take my word but I don't think they are harmful. get a copperband or some sort of angel and they should take care of them.

I think you are right, also known as Scypha sponge.

i've got tons of those in areas where there is low light. they've never hurt anything, i'd have to agree with JJ

Have had them over the years, especially on the underside of refugium rocks. Completely harmless.

JJ is right, they are pineapple sponges and no more harmful than any other sponge.
