Recently has turn off lights for four days, and the algae don't remit...
Anyone suggestion?
Thanks.

looks like dead algae - this is what my tank looked like after going lights out to battle an outbreak...

The photography are my aquarium.
They are not dead algae. Clean the substrate, leaving clean sand and a day later reappears.

Early onset of a brown bryopsis, in my opinion. Never had this problem, I could be totally wrong though.

Wait a minute, it's a little off topic, but what do you mean by "clean the sand"? Just a little off the top or were you actually cleaning through the sand?

The sand is diatoms, reduce your nitrates. What kit are you using to test, I doubt you have zero nitrates with diatoms. The stuff on the rocks looks like a type of turf algae or hair algae that looks to be dying. I am not sure about that one though

I have this same stuf alllll over my rocks. however my sand is completly clear. please let me know if your friend finds a way to get rid of it

Notice a trend in these kinds of threads...they fall to the bottom and are rarely updated by the writer because no success is found.

If you want a specific fix, see page nine of the pest algae challenge thread. Make sure to read thread and see all pics before letting a tank stay ruined with algae. if better fixes existed, these kind of threads would have more before and after pics
