if you could start over

if you could start over what would you do? what equipment, live stock, etc would you choose?

trying to get some ideas, i want to do it right.

I've thought about starting a thread with the same title!!! I currently have a 10 but I'm debating on messing around with a 2.5 or 5. I like the idea in this thread, the built in overflo. There is also a link in it to another thread where someone did the same thing in a 5 gal. Other than that I think it would be good to have your main rockwork laid out ahead of time, I tried adding as I went, pretty frustrating.

i dont think i would change anything if i were to start over. when i set up my nano i kinda rushed it. but now i have a ZERO problem tank. all i do is top off and do weekly water changes, and my tank is thriving. i would have maybe left some room for some SPS corals but thats about it.

Drill my tank, add a closed loop and get the PH's out of the system. THey add heat, and take up space. No sir..... I don't like em!

I'd set my corner tank 1 inch farther from the wall on the right. Flush set makes it a bear to clean the glass.

so true!!! PLACEMENT OF THE DAMN TAKE RELATIVE TO OUTLETS AND WALL!!! most important. Mine is a pain in the rear.

on second thought, i would have saved the money and bought a house on the ocean since the money spent on my 20L is probably equal to a down payment on a nice ocean front house!!

have a sump. more that 1/4lb of LR. Better skimmer. less fish. Bigger tank. Different substrate. uv sterilizer.

A bigger tank. But on the other hand I wanted a bigger tank from the beginning, I just didn't have the room.

Now I do! But I can't justify investing another $700 or so on tank, lights, filters, but I just might do it anyway. Hell I'm addicted.
