I appologize if this question is not valid, and that I haven't done the research enough before asking....... But......

I have an 80 gallon reef tank, currently running with:

-1/4 hp Artic Chiller
-Calcium Reactor
-Phosban Reactor
-250watt 20K

water parameters are good, tanks been running for about a yr... crashed a couple months back and was neglected untill a few weeks ago, when i got everything up and running again.

Currently I have some sps (red/orange caps, superman danae, green cap with pink polyps), some zoos (pink, blues, and variety of others), soft corals (ricordeas, mushrooms, xenias).


Things are doing okay for the last few weeks, but I was wonderin what other ingredients do I need....

Mainly interested in a kalk reactor, but don't really understand the principle of one.

Please advise if you have some time for me to pick your brains.

have you tested ca/mg/alk?

When you run a calcium reactor, chances your tank's ph will be depressed below 8.0. Most of us are using the kalk reactors with a ph of 12.5 to keep up the ph.
