I have used the all-in-one and I think they are fine except for heat issues. You will more than likely need to install more fans and/or re-arrange the ones that are there. You just have to understand the limitations. Consistent water changes and water quality monitoring. Limitations in types of coral and livestock, etc... Plus, you can always mod it if you don't like something. However, building you own from scratch has its fun and merit also. Just depends and how much DIY you want to do.
