Roy's List is not and was not intended to be a "how to" on how to set up an aquarium for stomatopods. It provides identification photos and tank parameters that would be best for a particular species including illumination, temperature and substrate. Over the years I have "suggested" what would be "natural" habitats for particular stomatopods, but these are really only useful if you are interested in maintaining a single animal in a setting similar to what it would inhabit in the wild. Most aquarists are not interested in such "displays".
I certainly would not persume to make suggestions as to how to maintain good water quality. There are lots of opinions on this and as long as you can keep your pH above 8.1, your nitrate and nitrites down and your salinity stable at around 1.025, you should be O.K. Also, don't smoke near your tank, don't use soaps or other cleaners, and avoid any component that could have ever been in contact with copper.
