I "rebuilt" my first tank and had a dramatic increase in growth. Here's what I did-

1) Changed to LumenBright refelctors
2) Added a calcium reactor
3) Took out the softies
4) Not sure about this but believe it was a smaller factor - moved the tank to the basement (more constant temp, cooler in the summer)
5) reduced fish load
6) Upgraded my skimmer
7) Went bare bottom

Thinking hard about doing this...

I've got my softies out (most of them), reduced fish feedings, have a monster skimmer and am running a profilux doser.

No, but I believe the next model up (Photon 16) can. I got my lights for $120 each.

Ridetheducati's current tank is absolutly stunning! Beautiful corals and in person its jaw dropping, especially with the d120's. The pics of the new tank look nothing like what it looks like in person. You got your bulb selection just right thats for sure!
Awesome job creating the skin around the tank too Tony! I cant wait to see that one coral you got from me when it gets huge! I feel like giving you my favorite corals just to see how they should look
I was kicking myself in the head when I traveled to your house without my macro lens, you need to get some good pics so you can make everyone drool!

I think keeping your hands out of the tank and stability are key to good growth for sure.
