If zoo's are on the substate do the still spread?

I'm new to zoo's. Just wonderind if this plug i got with 2 polyps on it will spread on the sand ( puka shell actially). I have a fraged pice of rock (1" square) with about 15 polyps of eagle eye on it on a rockand sure if they're happy they will colonize the rock but what about the ones on the sand?

yep they matt will spread and grow out, from there the polyps will spread out on.

Mine decided to detach and go for a ride till it landed on rock work it liked... And it is growing on the rocks now lol

I keep all of my zoas on the sand for this reason. It makes fragging unbelievably quick and easy.

I got 2 new frags other day, Armor of Gods and Campfires that I have on sand. Hopefully they spread of the plugs and onto the sand. Time will tell.
