Man, I can't see any purple at all on your tiger eyes, and it looks like the white ring has totally disappeared. Is this right, or is it jsut the picture/my interpretation?

There is a little purple around the green mouth and at the bigining of the red edge. I took the picture with a flash and it washed out the colors a bit. Mine had more purple when I first recieved it. It has changed over time with my tank conditions.

Nice photos everyone!!

Would everyone post what lighting they use for there micros and/or acans? And over what tank size. I thought it might be interesting to see how much it varys. And it might help people who are new to keeping acans/micros (like me!!) make wise decisions about their lighting choices.

I have a 58 gallon RR that I am waiting to get a new 175 mh bulb - I am going with a hamilton 14k. I will also supplement with some vho's - probably a mix of actinic and 50/50 bulbs.

So what's everyone else using??

WendyMc, I don't know if it has a specific name, the only ones I can find similar are on TheCaptiveReef.com they just call them green with purple centers. My pic doesn't do them justice.
