I'll show you some of my Micromussa if you'll show me some of yours

Such a cool and informative thread, with the inputs of so many the thread is immortal... any time we lose interest yet another collector will again breath life into it :)

Such nice pictures everyone

I love them!

Was that your new mounts Jen in the picture up above???

My first Micros!!

My first Micros!!

I received my first ever micromussas from Reef doctor Micromussas, and I really like them. He has a great web site and super service!! Here are a few shots of them, but I do not know their names.

Nope, not our mounts

I miss the OG Acan thread, that thread was a monster with lots of info (and lots of pics) contributed by the OG's of the hobby. Most of them are out of the hobby now, a couple have moved on to owning stores but that was definitely the golden age of lords/micros =)

Would love to see more info on different propping techniques and progressive growth shots. I'm also curious to see if anyone has grown out colonies of those tiny two polyp frags everyone was selling back in 2005...

Wow at the rate this thread splits, I wish I had stock in it. :D

lol, seriously! Warren Buffet would be proud

ibass, I would get that algae off the micros. I have some of that in my tank from a recent frag, and it spreads voraciaously. Its called mexican culerpa, and it will take over your tank, and ends up growing over and killing your corals, at least it did to me.

Hens4Fish... I think its just Hair algea... I had some on many of my frags after returning from MACNA... My bad, Had the tank and Props on Auto pilot too long LOL

Do you have any pics of your "Mexican Calerpa" ?

Jen I need to look, but my first frag of UFO from Miguel long ago started as like 2-3 polyps and grew into hundreds... I took pics like every week...

I have tryed the larger frags 8-10 polyps But no one seems to much want them? everyone asks for the 2-4 polyp frags because they "Want to grow them out" or "Get a really big variety"

Cant that "OG" thread be revived by you simply posting into it? I bet everyone would like to see it again

Forgotten one

Nope, it got closed/locked =)

My only micromussa, it blue red and green. This is when it was first bought, it has since colored up nicely.
