One of my 2 true percs is not looking well. It is the smaller of the 2 and the last introduced to the tank. It has been in the tank for 3 weeks. It is still eating and shows some aggressive behavior when the tang comes around. Water tested out fine.
After the daylights kicked on this morning, I noticed that this perc has developed a cloudy white/clear patch just behind one of his gill plates and it is holding its dorsal fin down. The patch is not fuzzy like cotton, however. His swimming is a bit eratic at times swimming towards the surface than back towards the bottom.
I have a 10gal which I am planning on treating him in. I will be doing a water change today and plan to take the water from the main tank to fill the treatment tank. Once the lunar lights kick on this clown hovers in the top front corner of the tank (should not be difficult to catch). WHAT MEDS WOULD BE THE MOST APPROPRIATE? I am thinking of a broad spectrum antibotic something like Maroxy.
Thanks for the help........ I feel this little critter deserves any help that can be provided.
