IM 25 Lagoon build!

If I wanted to remove or replace the sand with the tank being this new would I have a mini cycle or is there really not enough built up to cause any harm?

This is how the tank sits now. Parameters finally where they need to be.

IM 25 Lagoon build!

Guys, I have been running my Kessil without any type of controller, just the knobs. I think I have been around 20-30% intensity daily. I am putting Radion G2 on tank Monday, what intensity should I start at and what should I ramp up to? I will have it hooked up to my apex.

Update for today, was able to get the radion hooked up through apex and mounted onto tank. Picked up a awesome red and green zoanthid colony as well as a nice maricultured acro. Now though, with the RMS for the radion, the tunze 9001 that I purchased doesn't fit. Anyone have experience using the RMS and getting the tunze to fit?

Yah that rsm mount does take up a good amount of space. I hope you find a way to work around it. Are you planning to keep the tank bare bottom? I have mine bare bottom to

Yes sir. Was having some issues with too many DOC built up, ph wouldn't go above 7.9 then would fall steadily. Took the sand out, now it's perfect. It doesn't make a difference to me, I'd rather see happy and thriving animals than some sand. Much easier to keep clean. Thinking I will just have to go without a skimmer. Was actually looking around to see what a cube tank in the 50-70g range would run. Might eventually upgrade, especially since I'm out of room for equipment - filtration at that.

Yah bare baottoms are definitely easier to maintain. For a skimmer I just picked up an Aquamaxx hob 1 for mine. That an option you might consider

I was trying really hard to stay away from anything HOB. Leak, lose prime, and take away from tank appeal.

That's a great looking display! I'm currently looking for a third, but dealers aren't stocking IM's tanks due to some change in their distribution process. I'm hesitant on ordering one online because the last time I did that the tank had a leak...and it was not fun sending it back.

I ordered this from BRS. No issues here and thank you! I'm enjoying it so far

Whats your opinion on the Radion vs Kessil at this point? If the Apex wasn't causing you issues with your Kessil would you still use it?

Loved the Kessil, but I do like the color offered by the radions. If the kessils would have ramped from 0-100 I would've kept it no problem. With that said, I honestly think I like the Radion more.

Updated pic tonight, corals seemed to like the light today. Zoanthid all open and maricultured acro seems to be getting its color back.

Was able to pick up a rainbow lobo today. Can't wait to get home and add it to the tank.
