For those who read about my panic last week w/ my 46 bow cracking and leaking on Thursday. I bought a 70 gallon corner on saturday./not reef ready though. I was able to save everything so far. my bubble tip seems a little strange and i don't know if flow has something to do w/ it. I went from running just a MJ 1200 and a Coralife 65 to 2 MJ 1200's and CL 125 Skimmer. Is this too much flow. My LtA seems happy, but the bubble tip seems a little strange. i haven't tried to feed yet. but i will soon. My tank is staying at about 80 degrees ( is this to high) because this tank isn't in my basement. Should I buy a chiller, and can I use one even though I don't have a sump.

If your temps stay at 80, I'd say ur fine. I have always run my reefs at 80 degrees. Maybe turn one of the MJ's off and see how it goes. Maybe some one with alot of BTA exp can chime in on this. I've only kept ritteri's and carpets. Sorry i couldn't be of more help.

My RBTA will definately withdraw if flow is too much on him. I think they really like low to moderate flow, it seems. Sorry to hear about your 46g cracking. I had a 150 that did that. I think all in all I lost about a grand on that deal, plus what the new tank cost.
