I'm back - have tank questions

Having issues with cloudy water (tank has been up for about 2 months), probably due to starting out with dried marco rock which I rinsed well, and have been running carbon, to no avail. Also, when I run the remora pro skimmer, it creates a lot of micro bubbles throughout tank. Any advise....

Is the cloudiness white or some other color? Maybe some time if algae bloom. Also, lots of micro bubbles can give a cloudy look to the tank. Turn your return pump off and see if the cloudiness disappears after some time.

Probably need a picture of your drain/sump/skimmer setup to diagnose the micro bubble problems. Do you have baffles between the drain and skimmer and the return section?

Yes, the return on the skimmer. White cloudiness, not an algae bloom. Must be residue from dried marco rock I started with. Will run carbon and filter I guess. I've had the skimmer off for a week and still cloudy

Heterotrophic bacteria can bloom like that, as they are capable of being dried out and survive.
It will clear up, but if you want to try and clear it up faster, Seachem makes a product called Clarity that I've used before that has cleared up the tank in hours.

Had no know side effects anytime I've used it.
