hey guys im back after a good little while, hope all of you and your tanks are doing well.i was wondering if any of you guys have a small container to mack salt,i dont have much room and need to keep it under my tank like my sump that im bout to put in or do i need to just make one out of glass to fit into that space? i also have a marineland bio wheel 400 that i want to sell or trade,if ya are interested ill sell it for 30 bucks OBO or shoot me a pm with how much ya will pay or what ya have to trade,i can use LR.......anyways hello again guys and i hope to be on much more :D

How much room do you have? have you thought about using a 5 gallon bucket with a lid? I used a tote that I drilled and put a threaded shark bite fitting that gravity fed into my sump.

a 55 is 48" long. the 10 is about 24" so you have some play room. a 5 gallon bucket would fit easily provided you have the height for it.

that or you need a bigger tank.

it might but then that only leaves me 5 gallons of saltwater to make and have at a time and wouldnt having saltwater always mixing in there eat away the plastic at some point, its what happened to a trashh can i was using once under there

I doubt that the salt would mess up a 5 gallon bucket. it all depends on your evap. the other issue you face is getting hte darn thing in there. otherwise I would suggest something like a 20 tall.

I think petco or petsmart was doing a dollar a gallon sale at one point. I think those are basically the same footprint as a 10 gallon. you might could get it in there. depends on your stand.
