I'm back!

So I got a spanking from RC but now I'm off timeout.

Anyways, little update on the tank.... got a masterflex/coleparmer pump recently and it's made my calcium reactor rock stable. If anyone in the club is on a calrx I HIGHLY recommend getting a masterflex asap.

My tank is in my garage so I have been struggling to keep the temp in check when it's warm so I made the decision to switch to LED's from t5's. Picked up some kessils but after hanging them I'm not sure if I am going to run all 4 cause the dang center brace is in the way. Kicking around running two and a reefbreeders photon v2.

Also added some more rock from Mikes tank, and a powder brown tang a while back.

Was this because of that one thread?

On a side note, so your center brace does interfere with the Kessils? I ask because my nano tank has a center brace and was thinking that 1 Kessil 360 would work but the brace could be a problem.

Yeah it was for "that one thread".

So the center brace has an effect for sure. Right now I have all 4 lights hung about 22-24 inches off the water with one 360 and 1 160 on each side and the brace doesn't cast a noticeable shadow, however when I hung them about 16" off the water there's a decent shadow in the center of the tank.

So I'm thinking I am going to sell the 360's and use the funds towards a photon v2. Run the v2 with the kessil a160's on each side of the brace to add some more shimmer.

Personally I think kessils make tanks visually more appealing than any other light on the market. They definitely have their downsides though and if you have a center brace I would opt for something else or maybe do two 160's.
