Im beyond frustrated.

Hi im new to the hobby, and have few concerns with the tunze osmolar 3155. First i wanna know when water evaporates. The pump kicks in and keeps filling till the whole bottom sensor is filled and not juat the tip is this normal?. Second the plastic holder for the floating valve for emergency is submerged in my sump is that normal?

I don't use one of those but if it's turning on and off at the same points consistently I think it's working correctly. As for the float switch part ( I'm guessing that's picture 1 with the yellow circle), that seems correct since the water will have to rise even more to trigger the float for an emergency situation. However, watching this setup video would perhaps give you better answers than me guessing.
