I think it's actually better in person than in the pic. It kinda glows and draws your eye like those "rental" gonis.

That is some match up, my money is on the black and white damsel. They are fearless, mine would try to take on angel fish and tangs 3-5 times his size.

Does your mantis scratch your acrylic/glass?

I thought about getting a Mantis when I change sumps and make a bigger fuge. Is it a really cool critter or does it just hide 99% of the time?

The Damsel and Mantis actually get along. When I first introduced the damsel I for thought he be food for the Mantis. But as you can see they get along great. They have been together for about 8 months. As for Monty the Mantis, he's a workaholic, always out and about digging a new tunnels, moving gravel from one end to another. And he even knows when I come home, because he waits to be fed. Great critter does'nt try to sper me when i have my hands in tank...
