IM finally done.....

Unproductive commentary is my current soapbox, (which this probably will fall under so I won't comment on this anymore),......It seems to me that there are a TON of people on this site, not so much the forum, that seem be ego driven to show that they have EVERYTHING figured out about this hobby with the goal of making themselves "look" smarter rather than helping out a fellow reefer, and it seems like they try so hard to find flaw, rather than see the big picture.......when in fact, we still don't know anything and are the equivalent to toddlers taking thier first steps when it comes to understanding the complexities of the ocean......afterall most of us are only a 3 day blackout away from total disaster.....live it up while you can.....

It really flames me personally when people do their best ONLY to prove you wrong by swooping into a conversation and only showing harsh critiism/flaw rather than constructive interaction. "Your wrong doo doo head.....my way is better!!" sound pretty childish to me and I seem to see it quite a bit, but that isn't the case here, just makes me think of that. Most of these peanut gallery comments usually make me want to say "Big F'ing deal! It really doesn't matter in the total scheme of things." Oh well.........

But in the end, it is your tank....if you feel the risk is negiligible then try something new a possibly find a new way to skin the cat.....which in turn could lead to a new break through.......just be sure to let us know of your SUCCESS and FAILURES equaly so that we all can learn....

Maybe blue glue toxins are the cure to RTN?

rapid tissue necrosis, when the animal skin falls off quickly, one day you have a coral, and the next day you have white sticks...

LOL alex, Good to see you still around.

Man that prizm was hard to get dialed in at first, But now I got it skimming and dialed in.

Thanks again.

Good grief!

Noticing that your tank is very small, I thought I would share the information that I was told by the glue manufacturer's - in case you have bad luck with fish deaths in the months to come.

If we were talking about a 120 gallon aquarium, I don't think I would have mentioned it, as the dilution would probably be a factor. If I noticed that you were using carbon I also would have not said anything. However, you are talking about a <10 gallon aquarium with glue that I was told is toxic particularly to fish.

Was I trying to bloat my ego by pretending to know everything? Of course not. Is the information correct? Maybe, depending on where the technician that I spoke with got his information.

If this is what you all consider to be senseless, unproductive criticism then I belive you have a personality disorder or some other issue.

Again I will say, good greif! This is rediculous.

YOu try to give information., And at first I was asking for your info more in depth. Then you come in and say "I dont have the time or care to look for it"....

WHY EVEN SAY SOMETHING OR ANYTHING AT ALL..... People are going to ask for references to claims they have never heard of.

I Would and still welcome your information, But seeing how you care NOT to tell us who and what and when.

As i wasnt trying to say you knew anything and everything, But to share what you know. You cant even do that....

YOu have horrible people skills.

Stop posting in this thread and Let the original intent of it continue, and not be some flame bashing thread.

We dont need Jr. High Drama here. If you care to tell us what company you spoke with and when. The by all means share that info. Other then that, NOthing else is needed on that portion of the thread from anyone.

Thank you!

You're not exactly the best person to comment on another's people skills!

When I told you that I don't have the time or motivation to prove it to you -- it was only because that is the case.

I shared what I knew and gave my source, then you come off telling me "well who the hell do you think you are trying to criticize, blah blah blah"

So I undoubtedly take the posture "look dude, this is what I was told and thats all the info I have. I'm not trying to prove it to you, it's just an FYI in case you have future problems. If you want to ***** and moan because I don't have scientific evidence to back it up, then I care that much."

Catch my drift?

Opened at the thread starters request.

The National Sanitation foundation (NSF) has standards for products safe for use with potable water. If an adhesive has the correct NSF designation it should be safe to use in any size aquarium once it's cured,

NSF > Plumbing

I think we should move on. I don't think brian was trying to boost his ego but maybe there was a miscommunication when people questioned his motives when in fact he was just trying to give helpful information. From what I've read, brian was reacting to questioning his integrity.

I got a frog spawn and some xenia that weren't doing too good in my main tank, Nitrates were a little high.

So I took them out and put them in the nano, and now they look so much betterm the FS is puffing up again and my candy cane is puffing up also.
