I'm Furious!!!!!

So my NPS reef is thriving and coming along nicely. I put a swallowtail angel in to give some fish interest. I come home from school and my corals are all ripped apart and destroyed as well as my basket star and my Crinoid. What the heck, I thought they were reef safe?

Any idea as to why she would do this?

Unfortunately no angel is truly Reef safe. If you put any angel in a Reef be prepared to have an exit strategy or live with the results. I know it sucks. Some can be perfect and hardly ever touch a thing and others can be like yours.

sorry to hear that. I just put a swallowtail angel in my tank a couple weeks ago. The yellow tang is keeping him in check and he stays primarily in the west side of the tank.
Crossing my fingers ... no nipping that I have ever seen. Only eating the mysis and brine shrimp.

I've removed almost all my LPS(only things left are a couple Rhizo's, a huge red Goni, and one large chalice) and primarily just SPS and clams now.

My swallowtail angel female usees LPS like feeding stations. Even the tiniest particle of food is ripped out of the coral. She'll even peck at corals that have already swallowed the food until she gets to it. After all that, though, she still doesn't actually eat any corals.
