Im getting some new fish.......

I'm tired of not ever seeing any fish in my tank. I hate my yellow tang because he's shy and never eats algae. My hawkfish ate all my "cool fish" so they both have got to go and im starting over with a whole new batch. What do you guys think of this list.

1-Kole Yellow Eye Tang
1-Sailfin Tang
6-Lyretail Anthias
1-Royal Gramma
1-Sailfin/Algae Blenny
1-Sixline Wrasse

Think this will be too much for a 75 gallon?

You lucky dog. When and where are you getting those from? I think the anthias will look awsome. I'm thinking about getting 4 or 5 of them for the nano.

I'm gonna order from Foster and Smith. They have a good gaurentee so i figure might as well give it a shot.

Heh, ok looks like it might be another week or so anyhow. I need to catch the tang and hawkfish and do some aquascaping....

The only thing I would be concerned about are higher levels of nitrates. Keep an eye on it and see what it is now and after you add the fish.

Currently my nitrates are getting out of control and I can see that some corals aren't liking it too well. Frequent water changes and wet skimming aren't really helping out much either.

I would skip the gramma, but everything else looks great.

I hope you have a very good skimmer. Two tangs and 6 anthias(which need to be fed several times a day) will produce a lot of waste.

I'd leave out the gramma due to it's aggressiveness and leave out one of the tangs, preferably the sailfin. Sailfins get up to 16" in size. That's a big fish. I have a 6" hippo tang and I can tell it's already getting a little restless in my 75 gallon. Just think. When it gets 12" it will be 1/4 the length of your entire tank. They also have a high vertical heighth which you have to consider as well.

Due to money issues (aka the wife) i think im just gonna go with the anthias, kole tang, and the blenny for now.

Anna, i have a pixie hawkfish, hes a mean one, hell pretty much eat anyfish he can kill.
