Hi guys, I got this anemone at the store, and its just a small condy. Well, i ( yall are ganna kill me for it) i put it in my moms 12g nano cube DX just for a couple days then i realized that ( stupid me) that the lighting wasnt good enough.

So i put it in my tank because it wasn't doing well. Its loosing its "stickiness" and it wont stick to the rocks, And it appears to be melting away. But the thing is, it gets better, then worse... then all over again. Is there something i can do? i dont have any lighting issues. I have a 150 W mh ( sunpod) thanks for the help

Actually, putting it in your moms nano for a couple of days shouldn't be that big of a problem--even if the lighting wasn't adequate there. It's possible the anemone was already not doing so well when you got it. All you can do at this point is provide it with excellent water conditions. Keep an eye on it in case it appears to turn to mush--if that happens get it out pronto. Pics? Water parameters? You said it is getting better then worse, it might be acclimating to the changes its recently been through. It takes an anemone days to weeks to acclimate.

When relocating, were you careful with the foot? Many anemones decline quickly after being hastily removed from a rock or glass and their foot gets torn.

Not sure about condys, but I had a BTA for a couple years (that I traded away) and just recently got a LTA. Both of them tend to go through almost daily "flushing" phases, where they expel most of their water and refill. Sort of like an internal water change.

I would give it time... maybe cut down the flow for a few hours while watching it to give it a chance to attach.

Good luck. :)

well...guys thanks for the help. I came home from school today to find it starting to fall apart. I had to remove it from my tank. I no its only 8$ but its was still cool. It kinda sucks, Im glad you could help me. Thanks a lot
