IM Micro 30 setup

Hey everybody enjoy reading everyone's threads so I thought I would get one going for my tank. This way I can also keep track of my own progress and see what I do and don't do right.

My setup so far is the IM Micro 30 with the 30 Watt Tablet light and Stand from IM. I think the over design and look of the tank is awsome. I love the way it fits and looks in my not so big living room.

I am running a Hydor Slim Skim Nano and one 700 GPH powerhead right now, but plan on going to 2 Hydor 500 GPH. I am currently getting my water from the LFS, but will be installing an RO/DI system soon.

Some pics of the tank so far. I don't think my aquascaping is that great, but it's my first time setting one up so go easy on me.

I really like the looks of the big spade looking LR, but IDK if I will get rid of it and just stack some more branched LR or like my bottom 2 pieces?

I also plan on getting my last chamber in the back filled with some rubble and some cheto with a small LED light prob the one from innovative marine.

Looks GREAT! What kind of rock is it? Looks like it has a lot of stuff like my rock from the Gulf.

Is the conch alive or just a shell?

I got the rock from live rock n reef and it came from FL. The conch is alive and doing well I had a big diatom outbreak he cleaned it in a hurry. I will prob have to get rid of him in a year or so when he gets to big for my tank.

Decided to rescape the tank and came up with this.

Even though it seems as though I am talking to myself I got my refugium set up in the back of my tank yesterday. So now I am running one of the 2 filter banks that came with the tank the other has my skimmer in it. Then I am running a heater and chemi-pure in one chamber, the return pump in the middle and then the refugium with LR rubble and cheato in the other.

Looking good. How is that PS working for you? IM are going to release there’s this month. I love the MP10 upgrade I have two on mine and love them.

So far the nano is working great. I don't have a lot of stocking in my tank yet and no fish so time will tell. I was thinking that if this one doesn't work out I will upgrade to the new Innovative Marine skimmate.

Yellow 20% but I got one on each side running anti sink mode. With one I'd run about 30 to 40% on a 30 sounds about right. I also got my rocks build into two pillars so flow is great around them. Hope that helps.

Thanks for following along its my first tank and I am learning tons as I go especially from looking at other peoples tank threads on here. I have my MP running about 40% and on yellow any higher and all my corals get blown off my LR.
