I'm new!!!

hello

I was wondering where I go to sign up for SLASH??? I live in Illinois about 15 min. from the JB bridge and I'm looking for a close group to join so I can ask questions about my tank and get help. The problem is I'm still In high shcool (a senior) and I'm only starting a 10 gallon Nano.....Is it ok if I join with such a small tank? Is there a minimum tank size?? Any way I was hopin to find a person close by in the next month or so to buy frags/corals from...hopefully cheap...but atleast a close by person with out an outragous price, will make me happy :)

Well if you guys have a problem with me joining then just tell me and I wont join but I think I'm an alright guy.

Just to let you in on a secret:

There are a few members in out club (I wont name, names) who don't even have water in there tank. So I guess the rules aren't so strict.
Really, You are more than welcome to come and join in our fun.

I loved my 10 gallon Nano while I had it up and running.. The power outage unfortunately got the best of it last summer. So I took it down.. I do plan on putting it back up in the future.

If you have any question ask away..
 
Hey saltyshoe_nano welcome. There are many reefers on THAT side of the river :D so you should be able to find some good frags and advise. It sounds like you are already a couple steps ahead of some with water and salt in the tank :)

hey, lol sounds great....you guys/girls are really welcoming. It might take a while for me to join (month maybe) but I'm looking forward to joining tho. I'm having friend of the family problems and my cars engines blown so moneys a little low now. I've heard that there some users out their that give free frags away? is this true and will anyone be willing to in about a month??

oh and a few other questions
1. do you have to show up for all the meetings? b/c the cars broken....
2. where are the meetings held?
3. is the payment a one time deal or montly/yearly??

You don't have to show up for any of the meetings if you don't wish...just send money!! :D

From time to time there are free frags available but it seems that cheap frags are almost always available. Much of that depends on what you're interested in keeping.

Meetings are held throughout the greater St. Louis area. No single location.

Membership dues are $20.00 a year ....a one time deal.... of course, unless you wish to send $20.00 monthly. Feel free!:D
 
well its not that I dont wanna go to meetings I just dont know if I will be able to make it to every meeting.

as far as the place, will you send out a news letter or will the place/time be posted?

and I can deffinatly do the $20 a year and maybe even a few contributions to help out after I join.

Meeting are always posted in this forum and on our website..

You should know about what's happening enough in advance to clear your schedule.
