The title says it all. What pumps have you guys replaced the stock pump with? Mine is extremely noisy. Here are the options I was looking at.
-Sicce micra plus
-Sicce syncra silent .5 (might be overkill but it can be dialed back and I KNOW these are silent)
-MJ 900

I'm sure anything is quieter than the stock pump, so let me know. Thanks.

I'm interested as well, my Fusion 10 that I am cycling right has a rattle trap for a pump.

Yeah, same sound on mine. The sicce micra should fit the bill. If I don't hear anymore input I'll order it and update the thread. The MJ 900 is supposed to be pretty decent as well. I trust the hell out of all my sicce return pumps and they have always been dead silent.

How does the GPH compare between the stock pump and the Sicce micra you are considering... I am a bit concerned about too much current in this tiny tank.

The micra is rated at 90gph. The micra plus is rated at 158gph. They are both adjustable. I'm kind of stuck on which one to get. The micra would be a great replacement but the micra plus would help me avoid putting a powerhead in this little tank. I'm going to roll the dice on something tonight and I'll update the thread as soon as I get it.

I believe that I ran a Minijet 606 on my Nuvo 10 and it was plenty. But I did have an MP10 on the lowest setting too.

My dealer sold me a Rio 800..... holy krap... WAY WAY too much flow...... now I am looking for a valve to put in line....

Ordered the Sicce micra this weekend. Should be here by Thursday. The stock pump is extremely annoying. I swear the rattle is getting worse. The funny thing is I can pull the tubing off of it and it's silent. As soon as the return tubing goes back on it's the same old annoying rattle. I don't think the little pump likes pressure. I even tried removing the end nozzle. No luck, still loud. I'll update as soon as it's installed.

I just looked at the Sicce micra... the 90 gallon version has the same sliding three position flow control that my stock pump has.... hummm... is the stock pump a Sicce ????

Do you have a picture of your stock pump? Does it have the same slider on the side???

Yeah, they look the same. There are a few slight differences but the pump body looks very similar. Same thing goes for tunze pumps and sicce. Also marine land and cobalt. Vast difference in build quality though. I have a tunze return on my other tank and switched to a sicce. Exact same pump body but huge difference in sound and head pressure. Every sicce I have owned has been "is it even on" silent. Hopefully this one doesn't fail my expectations.

Oh... cool... did not realize that. Maybe only a few companies sell the plastic bodies or something. I hope yours is silent. Mine was driving me nuts, and this RIO 800 is not silent and WAY too much flow.

So you got the 90 GPH Mirca, not the 150 GPH.

Yeah, I'm not sure why they do that either. I ended up getting the Micra (90gph). I debated on the Micra plus but my tank is zoa's only and I don't need that much flow.

My new pump arrived today and it's nothing but sweet...sweet silence. I took apart both pumps just to look at the impeller and the magnet structure. The sicce is clearly the superior pump. The chords are different and the sicce comes with a filter pad inside the pump that I promptly removed. Hooked it up just as easy as the stock pump came out. Took a sip of my beer, plugged it in and it was perfectly quite. Something the stock pump should have been from the start but I can see them cheaping out on the pump since the standalone tank is a bargain as it is. My wife even asked what was wrong since the tank was so quite.

Just as a side note, I replaced the stock return tubing when I got the tank with some silicone tubing I had from my other tank just to further decrease the vibrations from the stock pump and I left it place when I put the sicce in.
