the way I had it setup was that the heaters are in the last chamber of the sump (return pump end) and the temp probe for the controller was onthe inlet end of the sump. Theory being that I would measure the temp of the water as it came from the display into the sump in the basement. Sounded like a good idea at the time..... I guess I will never do that again.

sorry to here of your loss. I just moved into my house, if and when you decide i got some nice purple mushroom frags, and xenia i can give you, also some Liverock i just dont need cuz in re-setting up my 50 gallon, i replaced some Liverock with new Fiji Baserock. Let me know.
