Im trying to figure out what this is

I have this growing in my tank. It came on my live rock when I bought it and I think that its nice looking. Im just kind of curious as to what it is. It has kind of a jelly texture to it and is dark purple or dark red in color. It also seems to be relatively fast growing. I just took a lot of it out of my tank to thin it out a bit. Any help would be appreciated....
