I'm willing to sell some of your frags at the frag swap.

I am planning to register as a vendor to go in early and set up a good size display tank (26"x24"X7") to sell my frags.

I know how difficult it can be to properly display your frags in zip lock bags or tupperware containers so I decided that if a few people want to have me sell their frags for them I would probably have enough room. I'm going to charge between $5-10 depending on how many frags you may want me to sell. This is just to cover some of the $50 fee I have to pay as a vendor.

I havent worked out the logistics yet, but you will have to transport them to the frag swap. All of the frags must be mounted to plugs or disks and they MUST be PEST FREE! You must also supply containers or bags for the point of sale.

I will not be responsible for any DOAs that occur at the swap.

I will be selling primarily SPS frags but am open to softies as well as long as they are not too large.

Remember I'm doing this as a favor so I'm trying to keep it simple.

Thanks,
Brian

If you do this, please also consider "donating" $5 to C-sea since you'd be selling frags at the swap, even if someone else is doing it for you.

Doesn't sound like the best plan. I think the vendor's getting in at 9 is nice not having a bunch of people looking over there shoulders while there setting up. Having people meet you there in the morning defeats that purpose.

I would move to vote on this, IF you want to be a vendor there be a vendor, don't open the door for everyone to dumb there frags on you in the morning.
Frag swapper is set up for swappers to presell there corals and trades.
This is pushing it a bit IMO

Vendor's fees in the past only covered the owner and one helper under the table fee, everyone else working the booth paid the cover charge.

I'm not trying to create an way for people to bipass the fees to sell frags. I'm simply offering a place for people to properly display their frags who would otherwise not have the opportunity to do that.

There would also be no point in me offering this up to anyone who is planning to use frag swapper as well, because those are prearranged sales and there does not need to be any sort of display.

My logistical philosophy was to have people bring the frags in at 12 not early.

In my opinion whats there to vote on. If Im paying the vendor fee what rules prohibit me from selling someone eles frags. Actually this is the type of response I was expecting while just trying to help out some of my fellow reefers.

Just keep it simple is all, Why add a extra bit of confusion in the mix. It's a long day with lots to do for the c-sea members involved in running this.
If you want to sell other peoples frags do so, having extra people meet you there at 9 that was my issue.

Hi,

If you go as a vendor & the moderators of this forum find out, they might ban you from selling on the Csea forum in the future. I don't think vendors are allowed to sell on the forums, they want you to advertise with RC. Just something to think about if you like selling your frags here to other reefers on RC. Might want to just sell as a hobbiest at the frag swap and keep all your options open on this forum. You can still set up lights and sell like all the other hobbiests, hint, hint. My 2c worth...

I think being an "actual vendor" vs. paying a vendor fee for the convienence of setting up early is a whole other story. I'm not running a commercial operation here. I hink that several of the other vendors that have registered in the past are not so much vendors but just advanced hobbist that like the privelage of setting up a large display early.

You'd be surprised, take it from a former target.

We don't target people. When someone draws attention to themselves and other's report it, we check it out and act accordingly. Everyone thinks they are targeted, then everyone rats out or complains about everyone who sells more than one coral.

Aside from a headache of keeping other's corals straight, people wanting to bargain with stuff that isn't yours. I can't imagine it would be worth the hassle.

And then there is the fact that we may indeed consider you a commercial hobbiest, and you won't be able to sell here.

I wasn't saying target as a mean thing, just that I went through the ordeal is all. Not trying to make or cause any waves Debi :)
