That's right Midwest Reefers! Get into IMAC 2008 for FREE!

IMAC 2008 is coming up this weelk! It runs Friday to Sunday and normally costs $75-$150 per person to get into! BUT, there is a coupon in Trolical Fish Hobbyist that'll get you into IMAC 2008 including the vendor areas and ALL educational seminars for free!

IMAC 2008 offers outstanding educational seminars, a great place to visit manufacturers and vendors, meet and chat with other reefers AND win awesome struff in the raffles!

Here's a copy of the ad in the June issue of TFH:

If you need more info on IMAC, visit www.theimac.org

See you there!

IMAC 2008 will be at the same place as last year, near O'Hare!

You can get the June TFH at Petco, Petsmart, and other pet stores!

You can also send me an email at fiberlux@comcast.net and I'll reply with the PDF copy of the ad.

See you there!

Boyd ;)

wow, good find. I'm definitely going to hit that magazine up. I'm going to be lookin for some nice, somewhat rarer zoa frags. Ive never gone to an imac, hows the zoa frag selection been in the past there?

Will there be any live stock there? Looking at their web page I see "a weekend where you can see live presentations by the most widely known, well-respected authors and lecturers in the marine aquarium hobby"

It sounds like the focus is presentations. There is also booth rental. Maybe livestock there? I tried to look at the galleries from last (previous?) years but they were 404.

Can someone who knows more about IMAC clarify?

edit: Found this that seems to imply that live stock will be available:
"*Your logo would appear on the insulated bags sold to people to keep their corals cold/warm"

thanks,
hank

mrk1260, There will only be a few livestock vendors at IMAC this year, so I am not sure exactly what they will have. You might consider contacting one or more of them directly to see what they are bringing:

Dirk Griffin of Dirks Reef - Ph: 651-388-7319 Email: reefgrip@hotmail.com

John & Ken of Midwest Reef Supply - Ph: 847-844-3140 Email: support@midwestreefsupply.com

Premium Aquatics - Ph: 317-895-9005 Email: sales@premiumaquatics.com

I'm sure that they will bring you something specific if they have what you want!

Fiberlux, thanks a lot for the help. I tried finding out on their website but couldnt really find much. thanks again.

Puffer, looks like those are free as well.

"including the vendor areas and ALL educational seminars for free!"

I believe it means for half off the regular admission fee, you can get into everything for free.

Confusing, to say the least... Kinda like buying a ticket for Six Flags--all the rides are then free.

Woah, im confused now. That ad is confusing. Hopefully it is free and not 75 bucks. Can anyone out there clear this up?

Has anyone talked to Dennis to confirm what he meant? Cause I'm pretty confused reading that copy.

I'm trying to figure out if I can go to the expo (free) and buy tickets JUST for the banquet. The website implies you can - "We know the Banquet will sell out early, as it has every year at IMAC. So this year we are doubling the size of the Banquet Room." But then there is no option for just a banquet ticket. There is an "additional" banquet ticket, but this implies it is if you are buying a full ticket and bringing extra people to the banquet. Does anyone know whats up for the banquet tickets, if there are any?

Puffer, it means FREE!!! :D

With the ad, you can get into ALL seminars and the vendor floor for free. The only thing you would need to pay for is the banquet, if you decide to go to it. :)

Of course, you just gotta buy raffle tickets too! ;)

Yes, the banquet tickets are $55 and they still have some available! If they question the "additional" part, just tell them they are in addition to the tickets that I already bought, before this great offer!
