Impeller magnet cracked

I have a stream 6080 and after ~3 months of use it stopped working and when I took out the impeller unit (impeller blade + cylindrical magnet) the magnet was cracked down its entire length and would no longer spin.

Has anyone had this happen to them and / or have any ideas what could have caused this? The pump was fully submerged the entire time it was operating and there was nothing lodged in the impeller housing when I took the pump apart. Considering how expensive these pumps are I feel very ripped off.

It is a manufacturing issue, if the magnet gets too hot when the hole is drilled it will crack later. PM me your address and I will mail you out a new magnet, save all the pieces so you can assemble them on the magnet.
