In regards to the sign in my store that states "Don't Get Robbed By The Reef "!

This has come up several times since I came up with the idea of the slogan. Many people are reading into it and seeing things that this sign was not meant to say in any way, shape or form. No names will be mentioned here since I feel this has gone far enough and has now caused problems between myself and someone I have known for over 10 years.

This Slogan came to be from the many shady online retailers that many customers have come across in their journey into this hobby. While there are many good ones, there are also many not so good. Many that will sell you a shark to put in your 20 gallon tank with your hippo tang.

This idea of sales first, honesty later bothered me to the point of creating this slogan. "The Reef" does not refer to any store or website in particular. It simply means that when setting up a "Reef" tank it's easy to get taken by those on the darker side of the fence.

Uh that sounds like a load of BS. Why are you hating on the best store in town? Why not just take the sign down? Anyone with a brain is going to read between the lines. I remember seeing "don't get screwed by the zoo" on a sign in a certain store in town. At least they were honest with their meaning.

You know it is funny. The only people this seems to bother are the ones who buy online and feed the world with BS. It is a slogan, like any other in the world and I can use it how I want. So what if people read into it. I know what it means and if people can not ask or do not want to come to my store because I hate the internet retailers that are putting the good stores out like Atlantis, then so be it. I am not gonna argue with people about it. As for the sign that was in a certain store, that was all Jerry and his way of getting back at the zoo. Whatever!!

I have known Rob for a long time and have never told anyone not to go to his store. I send people there all the time. In fact one of my good customers was there today,because I did not have what he needed. Funny thing is he called and asked me how to get there since he never been there before.

I don't buy much online. Maybe 5% and that is only because I can't find it locally. If you asked around I bet the amount of online purchases are far less then you think. Also I don't think I am feeding the world BS.
