So... as the title said, I am in desperate need of a fish trap. My Achilles tang broke out in ich. Most likely due to that heat wave we had. Anyone have one for sale????

I doubt it was from an increase in temp. If I'm correct Ich hates warm temps in the 85-90 range also ich is always present in your tank. I always thought of it as a germ, its always there but once the immune system is down you get a cold etc... Good luck.

Could be related to the stress of the tank overheating and dissolved o2 levels being depleted, although temporarily.

I'll tell you what will stress the **** out of it though, catching it and moving it lol....

Yea I'm not saying the heat itself is what caused the ich. The ich outbreak happened after the heatwave was over... the stress from the heatwave more than likely weakened his immune system and the constant fighting between my yellow and purple tangs probably added more to that stress. I want to trap him because he can't be treated in my display tank as I have a couple frags and a bunch of inverts.

The ich spread to other fish. Gonna drain the tank tomorrow and catch all the fish and throw them in quarantine. Going to let the display sit fallow. Thanks for everyone's help. Can't wait til next meeting so I can meet you guys. All of you seem like really great people! Excited to become a part of it!
