In DT pruning/fragging

I'm relatively new to sps (1year) and am now getting to be a victim of my own success. Some of the early "fast growing" species are taking over and shading spots I would like to place some new more exotic species. What do you recommend to "prune" your overgrown corals? Is using something like a wire cutter OK to cut some branches off or is this a sacrilege to submerge something like that. Obviously over time something like that is going to get corroded. Thanks True Reef:

:eek1:That is crazy. So what you are saying is that it really does not matter how you do it just chip away. Thanks for the instructional video. Your frag tanks are incredible.

I use stainless bone cutters. They are available at most reef shops or online. Basically the same idea as your side cutters, but your side cutters would rust beyond usefulness very quickly.

I picked up some stainless steal nail clippers with the handles on them. I think I got them at Walgreens for $10 not bad.
