in-line heater question

I was wondering about these in-line heaters. I notice the largest is rated for is a 65 gal. I have a 75 gal and dont feel I could use just this heater b/c it wouldnt be big enough. What would I have to do, put another heater in the tank, since this one would be plumbed to the canister filter? This would kinda defy getting the heater out of the tank. I am trying to go for less equipment in my tank.

It depends on how cold it gets in the tank room.

Also since you have a fowler it's not as critical to maintain the tank at a higher temp. Around 80 degrees is the norm for a reef tank but a lot of fish tanks are allowed to run cooler.

I keep my tank aound 78. I dont think I would feel comfortable with it lower than 76. I would be afraid at night the temp would drop to much with the lights off. I dont want the temp changin more than 3 degrees between day and night. Anyone else have thoughts? I do like the idea of this heater and would like to give it a try.

I have one on my 55 and it works really good.

I used to have an intank heater rated for 100g, but it never kept the temp above 78.

The inline keeps the temp at an exact 80

I really really love the inline heaters!

I think it probably would work for you, but you could add an intank in your sump/tank if the inline doesn't keep the temp high enough for your liking (but I think the 10 gallon difference won't really matter).

The inlines work way better than anything else IMOP

cool, thank you. My next question is I want to get a magnum camister filter. How do I know for sure it will fit this.

Ok nevermind, it will fit. Does anyone else have an opinion of these heaters before I buy one? Does anyone own one who would like to chime in?
