In Regards to Temp Fluctuation

I had my digital thermometer in my tank and it was ranging from 76 degrees to 81. I noticed that the probe was near the top of the tank therefor perhaps it was being affected by my lights.


Well, I think i was right. I put my thermometer in the Sump and it read a low of 74 in the morning and 77 at night.


Which temperature is more accurate.

probably both (assuming you have an accurate thrmometer); keep it in the sump but turn it up 1-2 deg
