In Search Of Delay Timer

Is there such a device as delay type timer?

Here is my dilemma, When I get a power outage my sump fills past the baffle in my skimmer compartment, when the power comes back on the elevated water level in the skimmer compartment causes the skimmer to overflow until the sump level returns to normal(a few minutes).

Is there any device that will delay the power to my skimmer for a few minutes? I live in an area that gets frequent but normally brief power outages and I can see this as being a bit of a problem.

Delay timed relay - we had them on our big vacuum pumps.
Or a controller if you have one.

You want a "delay on make" timer

an example.. You must ensure its rated to switch your skimmers current/voltage rating..

I had a similar problem due to adding a DC return pump which started out slowly. I found this and solved the problem:

Thats even better yet, truly plug and play. All of the other units need to be hardwired so this will simplify things and I like things that are simple.

Went with the timer mcgyvr suggested. It was not difficult to wire up at all and works exactly as I needed.
