In search of the shirt...

Little did I know this thread would get so much activity! I like the idea on the shirts. Geek - when you say you can make shirts, are you just talking about the designs you've done or do you have access to print them as well?

I don't think we'd want to do a "club" buy because we still have shirts left over from the swap to sell.

cough*buyashirt*cough*pmGary*cough - I must be getting a cold ;)

However, if people would be interested in putting an order together, I could check with the place that printed the swap shirts and see what we'd be looking at for prices...
 
now somebody could set up a cafepress account, they print clothing out one at a time. set the prices to the actual cost so nobody has to pay anything extra for it. You can do tshirts, ringer tee, thongs and boxers and much much more. I can redo the images for cafepress so people can just buy what they want when they want, 24/7, just let me know.

Mimi, your corals have a good home and look very happy here! Teary eyed is okay. That's salt water.

The green cap is still on one piece, but the purple rimmed had a piece break off on the way home. Otherwise, they are both doing great. I haven't worked up the nerve to move the tomato into Jenn's tank for fear of it getting beaten by the monster cinnamon already in the tank. It's hanging out with the hitch hiking LMB (came in in the grene cap;)). Everythign else is doing great. I still can't believe Huy overlooked a yuma. he started a thread on them and was drooling on his keyboard, and overlooked it all night when people were buying things. I left it intentionally for him... (I love rubbing this in, Huy-haven't had a chance to truly harass you lately:D). It's doing very well in the 120:).

So that was Chelsey. I knew she was coming, but had never met her. Cool.

I was thinking about making a bunch for the local reef club too...If you want I can place a big order and then mail them to you all. I can put different pics on there too...I had hoped the picture would be like silk screened but that was how the company did it and since I just had one shirt made I couldn't complain :) If you're interested I'll post some more pics and you guys can choose or we can just do text or whatever. I'd be more than happy to do a group order as I was contemplating on making some myself :) Let me know :)

Yeah... Barely got to chat with her before she left... :) Loser... ;) Nah, I know she had a LONG drive... Glad they came though... Hope you SEASL's enjoyed yourselves... I think you guys cleared everything out before I even got there...

Let's do a group order! They don't have to have your club info on them...but I know a few of you want them so I was going to place an order, send you guys yours, and then save some for myself to sell at frag swaps and of course wear :)

While doing a mass order and just having them shipped to us would be much easier, I think personally I'd rather have one with the club name/website on it...some sort of identifier. I'm also a fan of the simple is better idea - just words, no art. What I had in mind orginally was "I glue animals to rocks" on the front, and the website on the back between the shoulders...but that's just me.

If everyone is legit about wanting to get together an order, we should either look into some pricing locally or figure out what the website geek mentioned is all about...

Sidenote: Howard, just a heads up, you have .com as the website - might want to change that to .org :)
 
My try resulted in the black box which stood out from the black shirt background, which didn't look as good as I had hoped.
 
Took me a mintue to figure out what you were talking about... For some reason whenever I try to save a gif, it puts a white bg on it, so i did it in with a black bg so it would work on black shirts. Didnt mean to have other colors with that.
