i bought a euro reef c6-1, i think it might be an rs100 tho, for a 70g

I have a AquaC Urchin. I have yet to use it but most people on RC seem to be happy with them.

What is does the water return look like on the AquaC Urchin?

It is a rectangle cut into the side of the skimmer. The water runs down the side of the skimmer.
