In Wall 400g DT (600g+ System)

Yes, I thought so about the Tunzes, the only thing I don't like is the cables within the tank, though, if the Penductors are not enough, then, Tunzes it is :D

Hi Juan
Yes cables can be unsightly in the beginning. But if ya plan their placement then the coral growth will hide em well. Patience is the key :D
About the penductors, again now it can be aimed at the spots where you want, but keep in mind coral placements and coral growth. Then you might need to reconsider the flow patterns. So flexibility of the wave making/flow set up is an important factor.
I know you will be knowing this already coz you are a great planner.
But I just wanted to put it out here :)
Just my humble opinion.

Hope your glass maker rushes to ur home and finishes the work ASAP :D
Good luck buddy!!

Well, finally, got me self a tank :D

This is the To-Do List for the tank:
1. Remove some excess of silicone the glass builder left in the tank.
2. Red Acrylic which is been delivered next Friday (Hopefully).
3. Also, need the levels (<- Name?) for frag placement.
4. Hole for placing the Uniseal for return tube
5. Light Rail install
6. Light install

As the tank is ready, all of the above will be done this week.

Nice perspective view of the frag tank and of the man behind all this amazing build :D
Very nice design for the frag tank, with the filtration tucked behind nicely it will make a beautiful display.
Just wondering, the back panel, did ya think of painting it black? So as to prevent nuisance algae growing in the panel, and the overflows, baffles etc. Saves a lot of time from cleaning em. :)
Great to see it up on the shelf Juan!! Did ya do a leak test?

Please add this to the to-do list:
Fill everything up with water :D
Can't wait to see it running :D

What light are ya gonna use for the frag tank?

Overflow to the back Chamber:

I'm not sure about this area and how the overflow piece of glass is spliced in. You might need to brace that to keep it from being blown in from the pressure. It will probably be fine, but it will be one area to watch.

Thank Nup!, check out what I had planned to cover the back area

And here it is, the Ferrari Red, almost done tank :D

Bought a big 8' by 4' feet red acrylic sheet:

Cut it on measure and instead of teeth, I decided to open 5 inch holes instead, it's a different overflow approach :):

And here in position, haven't glued it yet, need to cut first the return hole on both, the glass and acrylic, also, it still has the transparent protection:

Tomorrow I will try to post the light, which hopefully gets installed :)

Othercents, thanks for pointing that out, as it's only a 13" height tank there ain't too much pressure, also glass is 10mm so it's thick enough to sustain, the small overflow glass is attached on both sides and the bottom one, and as you can see, I'm installing the red acrylic pane here so the force to this whole glass will get better distribution. :)

Can ya make me a Ferrari out of that acrylic? :D
Yesss now it's perfect!! Looks neat and matching with the skimmer :)
Be very vigilant when drilling holes on the glass. How come ya dint drill it before ya assembled the tank? Any reason for that?

The red acrylic just looks great and really compliments the overall look. Nice Ferrari themed fish room :D

I want to introduce my newest family member,

This guy was caught on the Atlantic the day he came, as they are pests and usually end up as dinner, I thought of keeping him instead of going under the knife.

Without further delay, meet. Red, the Red Volitan Lionfish :D

He is really nice, all red, video doesn't do justice to him.
This guy sure is intimidating, he looks to me in a funny way LOL.

Thanks Jim!

Thank Nup! problem with the hole is that the glass builder built the tank while I was away, so, I didn't wanted to explain where I needed it to be done without me being in person.

But the hole is already made, I will take pics tonight and post them, :)

Today I fed Red three Mollies, didn't take the camera out while feeding but still got last part of the action...

BTW, movie taken with iPhone 4 and post production was with phone too using iMovie, yes, music is kinda annoying LOL :)

Juan...cool vid (I love iMovie !). I've heard of folks feeding freshwater fish to lionfish, but does that diet pose a problem down the line for them ?

Thanks Jim! :)

Actually Mollies can live in saltwater for 15 days, they can be freshwater or saltwater fish, pretty amazing :)
