Increasing flow into & out of Compact 16 sump

Hi,

I have a compact 16 sump kit with a retro fit kit feeding the sump.

What I would like to do is increase the flow into and out of the sump, what is the best way of doing that?

1 - how do I increase the amount of water into the sump?

2 - how do I adjust the amount of water back from the sump to the tank?

The reason I ask, is that I have noticed that flow isn't incredibly fast on the exit of the sump into the tank. In fact I am sure that my Deltec MCE600 used to have more flow.

Any help appreciated as usual.

Cheers

Stu

High flow is a bad idea, the water should go through a filter about 3 times an hour ideally. A high flow rate will cause more turbulence and negatively affect the skimmer performance and could create a microbubble problem. I don't recommend trying to increase the flow. If you insist on it, provided the overflow can handle it, the more water you pump back, the more will drain but do not excede the limit of the overflow box.
