In Memoriam
My father was a WWII heavily decorated pilot and the most patriotic person I ever knew. Had to be first to vote, always stood for the National Anthem, saluted the flag instead of just crossing his heart. He also passed on this day many years ago. This is a bitter sweet day for me. But it is a day that I cherish, both for him and the United States of America. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

I am not sure how patriotic I am. All I know is I am thankful to not be in german nazi concentration camps. my grandfather was. and so was my grandmother. my great grandfather died july 5th on american soil free from the german nazi's. for this I am very greatful.
Have both of my son-in-laws in the Navy. The oldest has been in the navy now for 11 years and is currently stationed in Memphis Tenn. Going to make a career out of it. Just made officer and we are going to attend his pinning next Feb. He has done two tours of duty in Iraq. The youngest has been in the navy for a little over a year and is stationed in San Diego. So the wife and I make frequent trips to SD to vist them and the grandkids. So special day for us.
