Indian Yellow Tailed Angel and Zoas.

Okay,
so i wake up today to find a beautiful newly set up tank with a beautiful new set of zoas that I had just purchased a few days ago,(my first ever...) wide and open and getting some of the ambient light from the window thats near my tank. So i go to do something else, and i come back, and my angel, who leaves every other soft coral in my tank alone..(flowerpot soft coral, Kenya tree, anthelia, mushroom corals) was non chalantly floating over my new zoas and eating em. And not just picking at it, like she does the rocks, but really going for it.
So, i, as usual, get really angry, wonder why i bought it(the angel), and then move the coral to a diffrent, less accessible spot. It worked for about 5 min, and then she was at it again. Then i fed them some brine, and she left it alone for about a half an hour, and was back at the zoas.

Anywho, im looking for a way to keep my angel away from my zoas, cause thier really neat, and i would most definately like to keep them.

So if anyone has any ideas, feel free to throw them out there.

(Sometimes i wonder why "Cant we all just get along?")

Aaron.

I am no expert, but I don't think there is much you can do in this situation. I think it's one of those "pick one or the other" deals... because really... what can you do to keep the angel away from the zoos??? You could cover the zoos with a strawberry basket or something, but then that just looks silly.

I fear you may have to give up one or the other... but again, I am no expert.. so wait for others.

You could use the strawberry basket right now for short-term... just to keep the fish away and so they survive.

I guess we all can't get along... polyps are a natural food source for some fish... that's all there is to it .

Yeah, i see your point. I wish the angel would have warned me in the store.. :)
Anywho, one more thing, okay, not to sound paranoid, cause im far from it, but i cant find any definate information on the toxin on how its released. I read that it was from predators attacking... and I think this would count as predation... should i be worried? like dont touch the h2o worried or like dont lick your hands after re-arranging kind of thing? Also, the fish is eating the polyps... Is he long for this world?

Sorry, so many questions, so little time.

Okay, well, off to make the decision between on of my newest favorite corals or my newest favorite angel... or droping a pretty penny to set up a new tank so they can be seprate...;)

Thanks.
Aaron.

Not sure how the toxins will effect anything, but I'd suggest not licking your hands regardless of the presence of zoos.
