info needed: red mushrooom

i have a red mushroom that shifted it's spot on rock. there is new mushroom starting to grow on the rock now that was on the under side of large cap, larger mushroom shifted to let new one get light.
my question is, now larger mushroom is secreting some type of mucus,slime from under side of cap. is this normal

yes. It had a baby and that's the "afterbirth". LOL It will be fine...
