Hi all. I was hoping someone could tell me the best way to one, frag a complete little leather and two, how to frag off a big leather coral. Have seveal little "babies" growing of the rock at the base of my big one. Can I just snip these and superglue them at the base to a new rock or is there a better way? How can I frag the bid one? snip a peice of the "top" and do the same? Thanks folks.

Pretty much like cutting pie dough. Some will slime up and make glueing hard, use super glue gell- and that will do the trick.
Hack away! They will be fine. Do it out of the tank and rinse it in a bowl of your tank water after cutting. Good luck

or you can use the small clear rubberbands like braces or for kids hair (pigtails/ponytails) so it's not as unsightly as a giant brown rubberband

You can get like 400 for $1

Yeah, but cutting pie may be harder than fragging a big leather. :)
Just nip part of it off and attach it to a new rock (either of the above methods will work).

You won't even need to hold your breath, cross your fingers for luck or other such devices. These are pretty easy corals to frag. Have fun with them!

Thanks. Looks like I'll be doing some snipping when I get off work. Any particular reason you do it "out of the tank"?

As a form of defense, it can produce toxins to protect itself so you want to do it out of tank and after rinse and toss the water you had it in...Also not a bad idea to wear some gloves...

Anyone, please correct me if I'm wrong
