I am trying to put some coral on the highest point of my rock work which is about 12 inches from my lights. Looking for some coral recommendations that can tolerate real high intensity MH light.
I would think alot of SPS can be placed up top if acclimated to the intensity properly. I have 2 birds nest, a strawberry shortcake and a blue digi at the top of my tank.
^ what he said, just acclimate them to the new light and they should be able to adjust on their own. Or better yet look for a lfs that has the same lighting as you and just place them in the same area they have them in.
