Injured clownfish. Please help

I netted my clownfish yesterday to move him and in doing so I believe I caught his gill and pulled it open. One side is normal and the other is open wider. She is staying at the top of the tank and doesn't leave and seems to be trying to breath. I added a bubbler to increase oxygen but I would really like to know if she will be okay. If I can get a photo I will.

This is definitely an issue. I hope it turns out for you. Keep us updated.

In my inexperienced opinion so long as there's no actual tear, it may make a good recovery, just keep them calm (I do lights out during stress times) and it helps a lot.
I've experienced this with Freshwater fish, not clowns and don't know just how durable their gill covers are.
