Inland Trip in Jeopardy

Looks like the crap is about to hit the fan as far as the weather goes and it could definitely cause us to postpone the Inland trip.

We've discussed it and have come up with an alternate date of February 3rd. IF we have to postpone this trip. Nothing is set in stone yet.

We will be watching the forecast tomorrow and will announce whether the trip is on or not about 5:00PM or so. Let's hope that this stuff finds it way to somewhere else. I think we've had enough weather fun in the last 7 months or so.

Stay tuned!

Hey cap,

I saw you guys were planning on going to captive oceans. Just a reminder to have someone get a hold of them if trip is cancelled. Hope you guys get to make the trip.

Icepick,

Already sent off a PM to Brad telling him the same thing. Don't want to make any enemies.

Just wondering if the BNARC folks will have good enough weather to go this weekend.

Temps dropping Friday night, rain turning to ice. Temp will barely reach 33 on Saturday and Sunday. Moisture of one form or another all weekend, Ice, rain, slush, snow.

I just looked at intellicast and it looks like it will be OK...hopefully on the warmer side of 32 so it doesn't spoil the trip.

That's what I'm hoping too but I'll wait until tomorrow afternoon to see if anything changes.

I love driving on ice but not for that long!

At your age, you had best let one of the younger guys/gals drive:D That black ice is hard to see.

Sigh I hope it holds off.

Looks like it's going to be a little over 32 degrees which should keep the roads clear

Better watch yourself ....it's not too easy to see with a swollen eye either!:D

I take it your glaucoma is pestering you again?

Hey you know what, I am just sick and tired of everyone picking on capNcapo. It is just wrong. What has this poor man ever done to any of us. Is it his fault that he is sooooooooooo OLD that he can't see, feed himself, soil's his pants, has glaucoma that is pestering him, has to ask for directions to the bathroom at the nursing home and cough's dust from his lungs and has many empty tanks not only at his place but other reefer's homes as well?? I mean it's not his fault that he makes the elephant-man look like a normal guy or caveman appearing to be highly intelligent. I do agree that he is a lot like the little squirl from the movie ice age, he knows life is still there and he just isn't going to quit quite yet. It's just plain wrong to pick on the helpless and those who can not defend themselves (even though this is much fun to do) so with that said I took a stand and stood up for you capNcapo. And for the person read this for him please tell him we hope this trip doesn't get called off, we all can't wait to see him again out and about at such an elderly age.

Well gang, it looks like I will not be going to Inland...we're supposed to be getting hit very hard, and I have too many animals and tanks that require power and heat for me to go. I would be absolutely sick if I came back to a frozen house, or even worse if I couldn't get back to my house at all :(

Yeah, right now depending on what weather station you look up/hear depends how bad or if anything, for us. We are right on the Line where it could go either way..

I did hear this morning on the Radio that we are in a Winter Storm advisory from tonight till Sunday PM.

This is a tough decision .....

The news is saying that the metro area will most likely have rain and that the real bad stuff is going to be west and north of the city. We're traveling east and Brad tells me that there is a 20% chance of precipitation in his area.

Give me some opinions.:D
